Introduction
The Cost Effective Biocidal Solution Manufactured by Steri-X International!
Several years ago, it became clear that normal cleaning/disinfecting fluids were not combating the ever increasing threat of the 'superbugs' such as M.R.S.A, Ecoli etc.
This is because; once they've dried (often within minutes) normal cleaning fluids have no effect on more bugs which later attack the same treated surface. To combat this would mean cleaning every few minutes, which is clearly impracticable.
Because of this, we began our research into producing a cleaner which, once applied to a surface, would keep that surface resistant to bacteria (such as MRSA, E.coli etc.) for long periods. We called this 'Advanced Barrier Control' Or (as we're sure you'll find) 'as simple as A B C'.
After many years of development, we had the resulting product tested by some of the most respected laboratories in this country and abroad and were delighted when their results showed that 'Steri-X' remained effective for at least seven days after applying, even though the treated surfaces were deliberately attacked at frequent periods with more bacteria introduced by the laboratories.
We were even more delighted when a substantivity test asked for by the N.H.S found it remained effective for at least 28 days, even though the laboratory attacked the treated surface with more bacteria at regular intervals during that time. Naturally we are not suggesting that cleaning should be limited to once a month, or even once a week - customers require their premises to be cleaned more regularly than that.
But what it does mean, though, is that whatever cleaning regime they ask of you, you can categorically state that, not only will your cleaner/disinfectant kill any bacteria present within seconds (see attached laboratory reports) but those surfaces will remain sterile and bacteria free, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
HOW ARE 'SUPERBUGS' TRANSMITTED?
It has recently been reported that the so-called 'superbugs' and other bacteria can be passed from one person to another merely by someone touching a surface previously touched by someone with those bugs on their hands. This means that someone touching a vending machine, toilet door handle, seat, flush, or drying button, for instance, could well be touching the same surface as an M.R.S.A carrier (often unaware of it) and become similarly infected.
However, because 'Steri-X' continues to kill bacteria in seconds (see attached reports) that danger is removed.
'Why 'Steri-X?' we are sometimes asked. Well, that was our secret 'research' name and we always intended to replace the 'X' with something more appropriate – but it stuck. And now everyone seems to love it. Hope you do too!
SO, WHY AREN'T HOSPITALS NOW 'SUPERBUG' FREE?
Answer: Cost!
As you can imagine, it costs more to produce something which remains effective for a long period of time, than for a standard cleaner/disinfectant.
However, for bulk users, we are happy to supply it in 5 lt containers, either 'ready to use' or 'ready for dilution'. This makes the cost comparable with 'normal' cleaners. It can then be used direct from a bucket (with a mop or cloth) or, for more localised areas, it can be applied from a spray bottle and wiped to spread evenly.
Not only is this very cost effective as far as the actual product is concerned, but as 'cleaning & disinfecting' is carried out in one operation, clearly labour costs are that much less.
Add to this the fact that 'Steri-X' does not have to be rinsed (you just leave it to dry) shows a huge saving over traditional methods – and it's a method which will soon be demanded anyway.
THE 'GENIE IS OUT OF THE BOTTLE'
Now the press have got to hear of this innovation, the 'genie is now out of the bottle' and the public will have heard about it.
Almost certainly, responsible employers will no longer be satisfied with cleaning carried out with old fashioned products which cease to be effective as soon as they have dried and therefore cannot protect their staff 24/7.
Could we suggest, therefore, that after you've looked through the rest of this brochure, you contact us to talk about the best prices for your particular situation.

| A | Steri-X not only kills bacteria once, but continues to kill 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Disinfectants may kill some bacteria, but as soon as the area is re-infected, the bacteria recolonise again. After applying Steri-X, any new bacteria will be eliminated within minutes for at least 7 days. |
| Q | How is Steri-X applied? |
| A | For large areas Steri-X can be applied direct from a bucket (using a mop or cloth) or, for more localised areas, from a trigger spray and wiped over to spread evenly. For economy it can be supplied in 5 lt. containers, either 'ready to use' or 'ready for dilution' Also available in 'wipes' already impregnated with Steri-X. |
| Q | Can Steri-X be used on all surfaces? |
| A | The U.S.A laboratory specified by major airlines tested the product and found it suitable for all surfaces. |
| Q | Can Steri-X be used in air conditioning systems? |
| A | Tests have shown that the Steri-X formula, when applied to air conditioning filters, prevents the spread of bacteria, including that responsible for 'Legionnaires Disease. This disease is often attributed to air conditioning systems. |
| Q | Are Medical Safety Data Sheets available? |
| A | Yes, separate ones for all European countries, plus the U.S.A and Canada |
| Q | Has the product been approved to EN1276? |
| A | Yes, the laboratory tests are available on request |
